Viral marketing with forums

There are different types of forums, beyond the obvious current types, the "marketing" or "special interest", etc. "Marketing" and "special interest" are two types of what are commonly referred to as "open forums".

There are, however, business and professional forums, which operate under the same rules and more often than not, prohibit any kind of advertising or self-promotion. Forums that were created to support the membership of a particular program are especially adamant on this subject and often demand that all members of all kinds when to refrain from advertising on their pages.

But despite all these hurdles, it is possible to successfully advertise in forums. In all cases, a prerequisite for success is to develop a good reputation and a good relationship and maintaining both. So if it is true that this may require a form of free advertising, there is a certain level of investment, if time and energy concerns, not to mention subtly and finesse.

To successfully market on any forum is the first requirement, to take a personal interest in the main theme of the forum. That means it at regular intervals and develop a good relationship with the members and the moderators. It also means an active role in the discussions and the willingness to help others. Of course it goes without saying that adherence to all rules, there are ways. In this way we can develop a good reputation, and the company will only deliver a natural way, because people tend to work with people they trust.

Since the main purpose of the forum is to exchange information and / or ideas, marketers must respect that objective and stick to it. Marketing forums, where everyone has something to advertise and sell, have stricter rules in the rule.
