The difference between sales and marketing
What is the difference between selling and marketing? The second notion is rather ambiguous term. Moreover, companies generally prefer to use rather than salesmen marketing executives to its sales force. The reason, ‘salesman’ negative connotation in the minds of consumers rather than ‘marketing executives’ which sounds more classy.

Sales and Marketing Relationship
